Love God with all your mind

My mind is that part of my physical body that receives, interprets, analyses and evaluates information, stores it, and makes plans and decisions.

To a large extent we can determine how we receive, interpret, analyse and evaluate information.

We can "be transformed by the renewal of our minds" Romans 12:2 How?

By deciding what we will expose our minds to, according to whether it is upbuilding or destructive.

By saturating our minds with Scripture so that we will be able to interpret information in terms of the big picture of God's kingdom and His covenant promises.

By practicing sound judgement, applying the principles of love, justice and humility in every circumstance.

By seeking wisdom when analysing information, by being filled with the Spirit of wisdom, and seeking godly counsel.

By bringing every thought into submission to Christ.

By deliberately putting off that which is displeasing to God, and putting on that which is.

How can we put these things into practice?

Through contemplation, meditation, listening to sound teaching and doctrine, selective reading, Bible study, asking the Lord for wisdom, group discussion, discernment, waiting on God, teaching others, personal witness and testimony, memorisation of Scripture, not cherishing questionable thoughts and remembrances of God's love.
